PROTOCOLS FOR SYNCHRONIZING ESTRUS
AND OVULATION:

10 daily injections of 3 cc P+ in oil, IM
(P+ = P + E = Progesterone + Estrogen)*

1 injection of 1.5 cc BioRelease™ Altrenogest LA, IM*



Use 1.5 mg BioRelease™ Deslorelin when follicles are ≥ 35 mm to advance ovulation.


PROTOCOL FOR USING BIORELEASE LA P4 150 FOR MANAGING ANOVULATORY OR OVARIECTOMIZED RECIPIENTS:


1. When the donor is day 2 or 3 of estrus, give recipient 5 to 10 mg BioRelease™ Estradiol Cypionate for 2 to 3 consecutive days

2. No other injections until the donor is day 2 post ovulation

3. When the donor is day 2 post ovulation, give the recipient 10 mL of BioRelease™ LA P4 150 or 5 mL of BioRelease™ LA P4 300, IM

4. On the day of embryo transfer, give the recipient 10 mL of BioRelease™ LA P4 150 or BioRelease™ LA P4 300, IM, and every 7 days thereafter until day 110 of pregnancy

5. If desirable group all recipients such that all injections of BioRelease™ LA P4 150 or BioRelease™ LA P4 300 are given on the same day of the week. There is no contraindication for giving the BioRelease™ LA P4 150 or BioRelease™ LA P4 300 at less than 7 day intervals. For example, the injections could be given on Monday and again on Thursday to get all recipients on the same schedule
